About The Hills
Golf at Micheal Hill's private golf course, The Hills, is an exceptional experience in one of NZ’s most stunning locations. There are so many adjectives that could be used to describe a day at the Hill’s but in all honesty, you need to experience it to believe it.
The Hills is New Zealand's most exclusive golf club. The championship 101 hectares (250 acres) golf course, is the traditional host of the New Zealand Golf Open and the New Zealand PGA Championship, offering extended practice facilities and an award winning artistically delightful and structurally functional clubhouse, a well thought out gym and spa, all nestled in an breath taking environment second to none in the world and graced with an ever changing sculpture park - The Hills is a dream golf day experience.
The Hills was developed by Sir Micheal Hills, known for his jewellery empire and his prolific support of the Arts. From 11 years of age Micheal has been creating golfing opportunities, first in his back yard in Whangarei with the local kids, and then with the development of the Hills over a number of years. It’s a challenging course, of championship level, although by clever design golfers of all levels can enjoy it.
Approaching the market slightly different, The Hills now offers non members a hospitality package rather than a traditional green fee. The cost (on application) will cover every part of your day - 18 holes of golf, any hire equipment required and all food and beverage. This is a day to start and finish at the clubhouse, enjoying their amazing hospitality and world class facilities.
