Wanaka Artisan Markets - Market Series Summer 2020
Fancy a 1-day road trip to Wanaka this summer?
Then you should definitely time it to coincide with the Wanaka Artisan Markets. They are a wonderful creative reflection of the locals that live in this truly remarkable slice of paradise.
You’ll find a really diverse range of products on offer, and uniquely kiwi. Artists and woodturners share the green with homemade soap makers and designer knitwear stalls. There are a number of diverse and creative jewelers and potters offering a modern spin on traditional themed jewelry and kitchenware. Gifts that are ‘one of a kind’ can be found at every stand! Photography, artwork, and booksellers… you’ll find it all here!
And don’t forget your appetite because the locals have you covered from their kitchens – organic homegrown produce, lovingly transformed into jams and spreads, cheeses, and salamis! Wine and elderflower cordial – meticulously cultivated, harvested, and re-engineered for your drinking pleasure! Pâtissiers and bakers will keep your sweet tooth satisfied and for the healthier few amongst you, foraged nuts can be bought – from our forests to your table!
The only hiccup to all this excitement is that the Artisan markets are only open on Thursdays from 12 to 4 pm. In summer you’ll find them next to the dinosaur park on the waterfront sharing the passion with the Arts & Crafts Market stalls. In winter, you’ll find them between the Wanaka Speights Ale House and Bullock Creek, where the more seasonal produce can be found.
Getting There is Easy.
