History: The first lavender fields were planted by the Manners Wood family back in 1998, and has over the last 20 years, doubled in size. Queenstown’s climate is a perfect environment to grow lavender – hot dry summers, cold winter, free draining soils, and an elevation of 300+ meters. As such the finest quality Lavender can be grown.
Visiting the farm, you’ll get to enjoy the tranquil setting and the seasonal gardens as well as the extensive fields. On-site distillation immediately after harvesting allows the farm to produce exceptional quality organic oils, from which we blend into our own unique product range of soaps, eye pillows, body creams, lip balms, shower gels and mists, Lavendin & Angustifolia oils – all of which can be purchased on site at the farm shop.
Enjoy this unusual but unique day out!
