HOT POOLS AND SAUNAS
Hot pools, skiing, biking, and late nights go hand in hand. So, it’s no wonder there are some excellent options for spa pools in Queenstown.
All guests at Spinnaker Bay are able to enjoy our heated indoor swimming pool and sauna free of charge. The sauna is the perfect way to unwind after a day on the slopes or hiking in the mountains.
Alpine Aqualand: If you are looking to burn a few calories and put in some laps though the Alpine Aqualand community facility is equiped with a fantastic 25m-lap pool, a leisure pool and lazy river for the kids to play some rough and tumble, two waterslides, a toddler play pool and a nice big hot pool to soak away the soreness.
Onsen Pools: Soaking in a hot pool is one thing, but when you combine them with a stunning view perched over the Shotover River Canyon the experience takes on a whole new level. The private pools at Onsen Hot Pools are one of Queenstown's absolute must-dos. Grab a free shuttle from town and switch off from life in general for an hour of pure bliss.
YOGA
Regarded as one of the best ways to relax and de-stress, a yoga session or two may be just what’s needed to increase the relaxation factor of your holiday. Or maybe you’re a yoga junkie in need of a fix. Whatever you’re after, there are plenty of options for yoga in Queenstown, and you’ll find regular classes at Queenstown Yoga Studio, Studio Sangha and Yoga Nadi. Lululemon also offer free weekend Yoga sessions in the middle of town.
As a full wellness centre, Yoga Nadi also offers a range of complementary wellness services. The downtown Yoga Nadi studio not only offers beautiful views over the town and lake but you’ll also find acupuncture, reiki, massage, Bowen therapy and much more.
SCENERY
Sometimes there’s nothing more relaxing than nature itself. Luckily for visitors to Queenstown, nature’s stunning landscapes are on tap. Whether it’s gazing at the view from your balcony with a glass of local wine, or hiking amongst the landscapes, it’s almost impossible not to be affected by what nature has on offer. It’s the kind of scenery that demands you take a quiet moment to soak it all in.
One of our favourite ways to unwind at the end of the day is to take a stroll along the lakefront of an evening. As the sun sets, the colours that play over the water and the surrounding mountains are hypnotising. So, grab a jacket and make the most of the scenery before the sun goes down.
