The Whakatipu Ski Club is pleased to bring back its famous ski sale for 2023! With over 2,000 used and new ski items for sale, it's more like the biggest swap meet for snow sports in the Southern Hemisphere!

This fabulous community sale includes used ski clothes and equipment entered by individuals, used equipment that has been ex-rental or ex-demo, manufacturers' run-outs, new equipment, new equipment that is from a previous year's model, and unique packages that have been put together by regional snow-sports stores, especially for the WSC Sale!! You'll also get to meet representatives from the ski industry, such as from the ski fields of Cardrona, The Remarkables and Coronet Peak, who will have stalls where you can meet the teams and ask any seasonal questions you may have!

So, set the family up for on-the-snow success this season with a full range of equipment at terrific prices.

This is the Ski Club's largest fundraiser. It is totally handled by volunteers, and every dollar raised from the sale goes toward enabling the club to offer families from the Whakatipu and beyond a fun, secure, and comfortable atmosphere at the club lodge at the base of Coronet Peak.

A Little About the Whakatipu Ski Club

The Whakatipu Ski Club was founded in June of 1949 and is situated at the very base of Coronet Peak's base building in Queenstown, New Zealand. The club has fostered generations of snow sports enthusiasts, including many Olympic skiers, New Zealand ski team coaches, and New Zealand ski team members over the years.

The current hut was constructed in 1979, and over the years, it has grown to support the growth of snow sports in the region. The club is 100% community-focused on providing local children with ski and snowboard lessons to get as many kids out into the snow as possible and create a welcoming family atmosphere in the hut.

The hut is a fully functional base camp for families. It features WIFI, a day room, a fully functional kitchen, a living area with a fireplace, ski storage lockers, and remote working capabilities.  Check them out at https://www.facebook.com/WhakatipuSkiClub/

So if you're lucky to be with us on the weekend of May 27th & 28th, even if you do not need ski equipment, come browse the sale, meet some locals and support a super awesome cause!
